by User Not Found

Camping. A traditional British pastime that can be enjoyed (almost) anywhere and at any time. It is to holidays what fish and chips is to food, tea is to hot drinks, and the BBC is to TV. Rain or shine, the British love to be outside with nature.

So, it’s no surprise that there are amazing camping sites all over the UK, allowing you to stay in a motorhome or tent in the most scenic parts of the country.

For those of you who are motorhome owners, finding the best spots to camp at can be a challenge and or even a chore. Luckily, here at Brightside Motorhome Insurance, we’ve collected the best motorhome sites in the UK for you to enjoy on your break away.

Lady’s Mile Holiday Park – Dawlish

Located near the Dawlish Warren, Devon, Lady’s Mile Holiday Park is the ideal getaway for adults and families alike. With indoor and outdoor pools, adventure playgrounds, soft play areas, and a gym, there’s enough to do on the campsite alone.

But you don’t visit Lady’s Mile just for the onsite entertainment; the main attraction is what the surrounding area has to offer. Situated close to several Blue Flag beaches, you can easily explore areas like Orcombe Point along the coastline.

If you want a day away from the beach, visit the amazing wildlife in Haldon Forest. There are even some fantastic museums close by for those days that need to be spent indoors.

Make the most of the family-friendly evening entertainment between March and November, eat at the onsite restaurant or grab a takeaway for your motorhome, and even sip on a drink in the bar to finish the night. This is a motorhome campsite not to be missed.

Price: £19 for 2 people per night

Llyn Gwynant - Gwynedd

When you think of camping in Wales, one special place always comes to mind first: Snowdonia. Llyn Gwynant campsite sits at the foot of the famous Mount Snowdon, making the mountain as accessible as can be.

While the facilities – toilets, showers, onsite catering facility – provide you all the necessities, there’s still a rustic feel about the campsite. It’s not too overdeveloped, there’s no Wi-Fi, and a lack of phone signal. All of this combines to make you feel like you’re really out in the sticks in Wales’ most stunning locale.

Some motorhome campsites make you feel as though you could be in a holiday park anywhere in the world. Llyn Gwynant does the opposite. You know exactly where you are: in the heart of Snowdonia.

Price: From £10 per adult per night. Dogs £2 each.
