Brendan McCafferty is CEO of the Brightside Group. He joined the company in August 2018.
Brendan has worked in the insurance industry for over thirty years; running large insurance companies and start up’s in both personal and commercial business lines. His previous role was CEO of AXA Insurance. He was also founding CEO of Flood Re, between 2014-2017, overseeing the creation of one of the industry’s most enduring recent success stories.
Brendon is a qualified accountant with previous roles that include President, Willis UK at Willis and Associate Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1996 to 2002.
Brendan is married with three children and is a keen Liverpool FC supporter.
Ian is Chief Finance Officer at Brightside Group. He joined Brightside in May 2014.
Prior to his time at Brightside, Ian held a number of senior positions across the financial services, telecoms and FMCG sectors, including spells as CEO and CFO of Barbon Insurance Group. He has also spent time working as Finance Director for Equity Insurance Brokers and held various financial positions in over ten years working for Coca Cola & Schweppes.
Away from work Ian is a keen sports fan.
Russell Bence is Managing Director of Brightside Group with responsibility for volume lines in the Head Office at Aust. He joined us in May 2016.
Russell began his career at Swinton’s, and fulfilled a variety of sales and management roles. More recently Russell has worked as M.D for Markerstudy’s retail division and previous to that, he was business development manager at HSBC insurance brokers.
Richard Beaven is COO of the Brightside Group. He joined the company in April 2019.
Richard is a highly experienced executive with a successful track record in a number of blue chip companies. He was most recently the Distribution Director of Swinton Group and prior to that he has had an extensive career in Financial Services including senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group, Reuters, Bank of New York and Barclays.
Richard is a leading advocate for Diversity and Inclusion, was a trustee of Stonewall and speaks regularly on the topic.
Away from work Richard is a keen traveller, foodie and is passionate about cars and music.
